The brother of a missing Lisburn woman has branded the last three weeks since she was last seen, ‘torture.'
Paula Elliott (52) went missing on March 5.
She was last seen on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm before making her way to Warren Gardens a short time later.
Since then the PSNI has made an urgent appeal for help and searches have been conducted in the area where she went missing.
Speaking to Downtown Radio & Cool FM, her distraught brother David said he feels lost and said he would do anything to get her home safely.
"There's a void - big void," he said.
"You just never think something like this is going to come to your door.
"I thought she would have been back the next day or maybe two days - but it has just gone on.
"She's vanished."
David added: "Every day that goes on you think - tomorrow is another day - you'll find something, you'll hear something - they'll have a lead, a wee bit of evidence - but, no it seems that she has just vanished without a trace."
In renewing its appeal for information, the PSNI described Paula as a high-risk missing person.
At the time, Paula was believed to have been wearing a grey/silver coloured Michael Kors puffer-style jacket with black leggings, multi coloured Sketcher trainers and sunglasses, and had her hair tied up with a pink crocodile clip.
Paula is described as having dark coloured hair, approximately 5 feet in height, and would have a medium to large build.
CCTV enquiries have also identified a number of people who were in the vicinity of the Hillsborough Road / Lagan Towpath between 5.50pm and 6.30pm that evening.
A spokesperson added: "We would be particularly keen to speak to three teenage girls who were walking a Staffordshire bull terrier- type dog in the area, and the female driver of a white Vauxhall Astra, in order to ascertain if they may have seen anyone matching Paula’s description.
"Please contact officers at Lisburn station on 101, quoting reference number 1840 05/03/24. "
