Man and woman killed in separate NI crashes
Two people have died in separate crashes on Northern Ireland’s roads over the weekend.
A woman in her 80's died in a two-vehicle crash in County Antrim.
It happened yesterday afternoon in the Glarryford area.
Three other people were taken to hospital.
A PSNI statement said, “The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm a woman aged in her 80s has sadly died following a two vehicle road traffic collision in the Glarryford area on Sunday 28th September”
Inspector Cherith Adair of the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit said, “Shortly after two pm, we received a report that a collision had occurred in the Killagan Road area.”
“Our officers attended alongside emergency service partners, however the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”

Meanwhile a man has died after being hit by a vehicle in East Belfast.
It happened in the Ballygowan Road area on Saturday night.
A PSNI statement said, “The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm a man has died following a road traffic collision in east Belfast on Saturday, 27th September.”
Inspector Cherith Adair of the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit said, “Just after 11pm, we received a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle in the Ballygowan Road area.”
“Our officers attended alongside emergency service partners, however the man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.”
