34 arrests following night of rioting in Dublin

Police in Dublin have arrested 34 people and say 32 will be in court following a night of rioting in the city centre.
A statement from An Garda Síochána says:
"Gardaí responded to serious, developing and evolving public order incidents and violent disorder in Dublin City Centre yesterday evening.
"Over 400 members of An Garda Síochána, were deployed on patrol in Dublin City Centre, including frontline uniformed Gardaí, supported by over 250 Public Order Gardaí.
An Garda Síochána has confirmed:
• 7 vehicles were damaged by fire including 3 buses, 3 Garda patrol cars and 1 Luas tram.
• 8 other Garda vehicles were extensively damaged .
• 13 properties were attacked and substantially damaged.
• A number of members of An Garda Síochána were injured; 1 seriously injured member, who is currently receiving treatment in hospital
- 34 people were arrested, primarily for Public Order and Theft offences
- 32 people will be appearing in court
- The girl, aged 5, who was seriously injured during the incident remains in a critical condition in CHI Temple Street.
- The girl, aged 6, continues to receive medical treatment for less serious injuries in CHI Crumlin.
- The boy, aged 5, was discharged from CHI Crumlin yesterday evening.
- The adult female, aged in her 30s, remains in a serious condition in The Mater Hospital.
- The adult male, aged in his 50s, also remains in a serious condition in a hospital in the Dublin Region.
An Garda Síochána have commenced a formal investigation into all of the circumstances of the Violent Disorder and Public Order events
An incident room has been established at Store Street Garda Station and a Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed.
An Garda Síochána are in the process of collating and harvesting CCTV and social media images from the events yesterday.
The scene of the incident at Parnell Square East remains preserved at this time. The road is currently closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
What happened in Dublin?
Violent clashes erupted in Dublin, leading to the suspension of public transportation services. Large groups clashed with gardaí, setting vehicles on fire and looting shops.
The unrest followed a stabbing incident that left five people, including the perpetrator, hospitalized.
The incident unfolded outside Gaelscoil Coláiste Mhuire on Parnell Square East as children were leaving the primary school.
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris attributed the disorder to a "lunatic, hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology."
Minister for Justice Helen McEntee condemned the "thuggish and manipulative element" exploiting the earlier incident.
An Garda Síochána put out the following appeal:
"An Garda Síochána appeals to any person with any information on the events last night or has any information on persons organising or involved in yesterday’s events to contact the Garda investigation team.
