Necklace stolen from man at knifepoint

Police are appealing for information after a man had jewellery stolen at knifepoint in Belfast.

The incident occurred shortly after 6.30pm on Friday in the Ireton Street area.

Police said the victim was walking when he was approached by a man from behind who placed a knife against his torso and demanded that he hand over a necklace.

The suspect is described as being approximately six feet in height, with short ginger hair, and was dressed in a dark-coloured hoodie and beige trousers.

Detectives have asked anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1246 of 28/11/25.
