Rap superstar and fashion designer, Kanye West, was spotted wearing an unusual jumper in a recent video posted on social media by Ty Dolla $ign.
The jumper Kanye was wearing was in fact a school jumper from a St Mary’s Christian Brothers Grammar School in West Belfast.
In the video, Kanye is seen getting a pedicure, however he is heard crying in pain as he ends the session early.
Principal Siobhan Kelly, told the BBC that the jumpers were designed for the appearance of the school in the McLarnon Cup final, 2008 - a Gaelic football competition.
Ex-Northern Ireland and Liverpool footballer Ryan McLaughlin shared as image of Kanye sporting the top on X/Twitter: “Why is Kanye west wearing a St Mary’s top?”
It is unknown as to how Kanye West has this school jumper. Mrs Kelly said “He may have been given it by someone from West Belfast or maybe he picked it up in a charity shop – we don’t know.”
Mrs Kelly was also able to confirm that it was “100% one of our tops” as there were only 35 made and given to the team as well as management.
So, who knows if you don’t want your school leavers hoodie, maybe Kanye does?
