The Body Coach is visiting NI with his new book

YouTube sensation Joe Wicks has arrived in Belfast on his upcoming book tour.
The fitness guru, known as The Body Coach, has brought out 10 recipe books since 2015.
He’s here visiting local schools promoting his new children’s novel, The Burpee Bears.
Each edition in the picture-book series features illustrated warm-up and wind-down exercise routines, and the books also contain recipes.
The key message behind the series is to promote families ‘doing things together.’
Joe Wicks popularity grew during the first lockdown in 2020, when the fitness star started his ‘PE With Joe’ lessons on YouTube. He helped keep children at home active during the school day. Many parents joined in too whilst they were working from home.
He broke a Guinness World Record after one of his classes was watched live by 955,000 people on the site. He also raised £550,000 for the NHS and subsequently made it in the Queen’s honour list with an MBE.
Before visiting the final school on his book tour, Joe posted on social media he’d be running 5K along the River Lagan tomorrow morning. He posted his route on Instagram, encouraging locals to join him if they’re free.
He wrote: Belfast i’m here 😀 Fancy joining me for a run tomorrow morning? Please tag your local friends.
“Belfast. It’s my final leg of the tour. Tomorrow morning I’ll be standing outside the Waterfront Hall at 6.45am and running 5km along the Lagan. Would love to see you there. Please share with local friends.”
The Burpee Bears, by Joe Wicks, published by HarperCollins is out now in hardback.
