Emergency services at scene of Portadown house fire
Three people have been treated for smoke inhalation
Three casualties are being treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in Portadown this morning.
Emergency services are still at the scene of the blaze on Watson Street.
A PSNI statement said, “Road users are advised that Watson Street in Portadown is currently closed as our colleagues from NIFRS deal with a house fire in the area. Please seek alternate routes for your journey.”
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service Spokesperson said, “At 07:06hrs on 26th April 2024, NIFRS we were mobilised to a house fire at Watson Street, Portadown”
“6 Fire appliances and an aerial appliance were mobilised from Lurgan, Portadown, Armagh, Banbridge, Dromore and Belfast”
“Three causalities are currently being treated for smoke inhalation. Firefighters are using breathing apparatus and water jets to extinguish the fire.”
