Dunmurry: Residents evacuated in pipe bomb attack
Police were alerted to the object on Friday evening
A number of residents have been evacuated from their homes after a pipe bomb partially exploded in Dunmurry.
Police were called to reports of a device in the garden of a house in Sunnymede Park around 11.30 on Friday night.
It had partially exploded but no one was hurt or injured.
A controlled explosion was carried out at nearby playing fields.
The device has been recovered for forensic examination.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone with information regarding this crime, and anyone who may have captured any footage in the area on Friday evening.
