Dog stolen during Belfast burglary, say police

Police say an investigation is underway after a Shih Tzu dog was stolen during a burglary in Belfast

It happened in the Albany Square area yesterday.

An appeal on Police North Belfast's Facebook page said, "Police are currently dealing with a report of a burglary in which a dog has been stolen."

"The burglary occurred in the area of Albany Square, Belfast, between the hours of 1645 hours and 1930 hours on 7th August 2025."

"The dog is pictured below and is described as a 15 year old grey and white Shih Tzu. This dog is micro-chipped. "

"If anyone recognises this dog, or has any information in relation to its whereabouts, please make contact with Police on 101 and quote reference 1695 of 07/08/25."
