A man is due in court following a serious assault in Newcastle.
It happened yesterday in the Burren Meadows area.
The 27-year-old been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday, 17th March).
