Significant damage has been caused to two homes in County Down.

Police say two reported burglaries happened in the St Gallen Place area of Bangor overnight, between Wednesday and Thursday.

Windows have been smashed and doors are damaged.

Chief Inspector Hutchinson said: “Entry was forced into both properties, where windows were smashed, doors damaged, and significant interior damage caused.

“We are treating both incidents as linked and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area or who may have relevant CCTV, door-bell or other footage that could assist to contact police on 101 quoting reference 438 15/05/25.”
