Liverpool: injured Co Down man tells of parade aftermath horror
The 22-year-old said he came face-to-face with car driver
A Liverpool fan from Newtownards had described how he "locked eyes" with the driver and "pleaded for him to stop" moments before the car ploughed into a crowd
Jack Trotter (22) was enjoying celebrating his team's success when he found himself "face to face" with the vehicle.
He was helped by fellow fans and locals into a nearby pub until emergency services arrived to take him to hospital.
Mr Trotter escaped without serious injury and has been discharged from hospital.
"He had slowed down. And then I put my hands up and pleaded for him to stop, and he wasn't stopping," he said.
He added that he was happy to be leaving hospital but his thoughts were with others still there.
"I get to go home to be with my son and there are definitely people more affected than me so thoughts go out to them," he added.
