Ards town centre street closed due to building collapse

A building has partially collapsed in the centre of Newtownards, County Down.

Mark Street is shut in both directions at its junctions with Railway Street and Mary Street, the police have confirmed.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services say there are no reports of injury, but motorists and pedestrians have been advised to avoid the area.
