Arctic Monkeys return to Belfast tonight - Find out everything you need to know
Get ready for a night of nostalgia and regeneration for the iconic indie-rock band.
Having previously missed their biggest Irish headline show, pulling out of Marlay Park earlier this year due to frontman Alex’s case of laryngitis, the band are back and better than ever, having just rocked the 3Arena in Dublin last night.
The bands previous albums include its 2013 AM and 2018s Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino, undoubtedly leaving fans with high expectations of their latest studio album. However, the boys from Sheffield once again never fail to disappoint with their seventh studio album The Car.
First releasing their single, There’d better be a Mirrorball, the bands style has evidently developed upon the vibe of their previous album Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino, with the album cut in a monastery on the coast of Suffolk. This arguably being their most experimental album to date holds the same edge while demonstrating the bands growth and maturity. The use of instrumental and orchestral arrangements within most songs off the album creates for a melancholic feeling of infatuation. Pitchforks review of the album perfectly describes the bands shift from “one of the biggest rock bands of the new millennium, into a lovesick, debonair lounge act”.
What time does the doors open?
The doors open at 6:30pm with the band set to come on at 8pm.
