Triona announces Belfast show
One of Northern Ireland's finest singer-songwriters, Triona is pleased to announce a headline Belfast show at The Duke Of York on Thursday October 4th 2018.
Triona is currently promoting her new single release ‘Won’t Go Down' which features local boxing hero Carl Frampton is the video.

‘Triona’ is an amazingly talented singer and songwriter who hails from a small rural area in county Down, Northern Ireland called Teconnaught. From a young age she knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life and to date she is fast making those childhood dreams a reality leaving all who see and hear her astounded by the star in the making.
From as young as 16 in 2012 she was chosen by Joan Armatrading to support her in Vicar Street, Dublin. In 2013 she was presented with the Cel Fay bursary award for young mu- sician of the year.
In March 2014 Triona was one of four singer/songwriters chosen by Panarts to fly to Nashville Tennessee to write, record and showcase her music to the Nashville elite. She wowed the audience’s with her charming personality, powerful vocals and well crafted songs at the world famous ‘Blue Bird Cafe’ and also the well respected ‘Music City Roots’ show. Soon after she made her very first TV appearance on UTV’s show “The Magazine” again showcasing her own original self penned music.
In November 2015 Triona was honoured to be invited by the super star that is Van Morrison to open his shows at the 3 Arena Dublin.
Also that year she opened for Westlife’s Brian McFadden on his UK and Irish tour and played the famous ‘Ruby Sessions’ in Dublin alongside Gabrielle Aplin, Gavin James, Kodaline, Hudson Taylor, The Coronas and Little hours.
In 2016 Triona was awarded the prestigious Panart’s ‘Young Singer Songwriter of the year’ award and was the voice of “Shining Light” the song used for the 2016 Power North- ern Ireland Campaign which also made it to the Number 1 spot on the ‘Cool FM' Shazam Charts.
In 2017 Triona was invited to open for English singer/songwriter and Composer ‘Paul Car- rack’ performing at the ‘Grand Opera House’ in Belfast. Her single “Days Like These” was used as the official song for the Northern Ireland Women’s Under 19 Euro football tourna- ment, she was extremely honoured to sing “Days Like These” at Windsor Park for the opening ceremony on the 8th August that year.
In both 2016 and 2017 Triona toured with possibly Irelands biggest young artist Nathan Carter on his Ireland and UK ‘Staying Up All Night’ tours. Currently she’s also collaborating with Nathan ’s younger brother ‘Jake Carter’ and two of the songs they co-wrote were used as Jake’s latest two radio singles - “Wild And Free” and “Party In This Town.”
Triona has played ‘Custom House Square’ in Belfast on St Patricks Day, festivals such as ‘The Belfast Nashville Singer/Songwriters Festival,’ ‘Belfast music week, Genera- tor NI “Output” showcase and ‘The Irish Open’ Golf Tournament to name but a few.
She is currently working on various projects with some of Nashville TN’s top producers and songwriters such as Grammy Award winning producer and songwriter ‘Jodi Marr’ who has worked with ‘Mika’ and ‘Paloma Faith,’ with award winning writer ‘James Elliot’ and Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer ‘Andrew Ramsey’. She’s collaborated with ‘Brett James’ a hit songwriter for ‘Kelly Clarkson,’ ‘Carrie Underwood,’ ‘Bon Jovi,’ ‘Ja- son Aldean’ and the ‘Backstreet Boys.’ ‘James House’ who has written hits for top artists like ‘Rod Stewart,’ ‘Tina Turner’ and ‘Martina McBride’ and Triona has also worked with ‘Johnny Reid’ a Scottish singer/songwriter who is one of the biggest current stars in the Canadian music industry.
The future looks bright for this young star and Triona’s life and career are most definitely on the up, she is undoubtedly one of Ireland's finest singer/songwriters and is clearly on the road to notoriety and success in the worlds music industry. There are no limits to where we will see and hear Triona’s music in the future.
