Childhood friends Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson are the local names behind the electronic duo Bicep.

They were hoping to perform two sold out shows at Belfast's iconic Telegraph Building in early October, however promoters Shine has had to reschedule the dates.

Sharing the news on social media, a statement from Shine reads:

"Due to the lack of clarity regarding the reopening of indoor events in Northern Ireland, and the restrictions that still currently apply to the venues, we have no option but to reschedule the two upcoming Bicep Live shows at The Telegraph Building to later dates."

Music and entertainment venues across Northern Ireland are calling for a removal of the 1m social distance requirement in Northern Ireland at the scheduled 23rd Sept meeting of the NI Executive.

Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK & Ireland in which indoor venues are not currently open without capacity reductions, or have a full re-opening date scheduled.

Earlier this year, Bicep were nominated for two BRIT awards - Best British Group and Best Breakthrough Act.

Back in January, the Northern Irish duo scored a huge #2 spot on the UK’s Official Albums Chart with their new record ‘Isles’, which also debuted at #5 in the worldwide Spotify album charts.

Having graced some of the most iconic festival stages around the world including Glastonbury and Coachella, the pair spent their free time stuck in lockdown working on their second album Isles.

All tickets remain valid for Bicep's rescheduled dates, no exchange will be necessary.

New dates for Telegraph Building are

Fri 1st Oct tickets will now be valid for Friday 12th November 2021

Sat 2nd Oct tickets will now be valid for Saturday 13th November 2021
