Belfast Vital has consecutively hosted a multitude of world class artists from Foo Fighters, Calvin Harris, The Killers and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

This years Vital will kickstart on Friday 16th August with the musical Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Liam Gallagher, as part of his 30th Anniversary Definitely Maybe Tour.

The English singer-songwriter achieved global fame as lead vocalist of the rock band Oasis from 1991 to 2009. The British Rock band has continued to be one of the most influential bands with their distinctive style and outspokenness.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the band’s debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ that became an immediate commercial success with a multitude of the bands biggest hits including ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’, ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Married with Children’ and ‘Half the World Away’.

Liam Gallaghers solo career re kickstarted the front liner, targeting a whole new audience. Having scored five UK No.1 albums in just six years: his three studio sets, ‘As You Were’, ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ and ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ plus the live records ‘MTV Unplugged’ and ‘Knebworth 22’. His comeback has been capped by two unforgettable performances at the BRIT Awards, winning Rock ‘n’ Roll Star of the Year at the GQ Awards and landing his highest position on the singles charts in thirteen years with ‘Everything’s Electric’.

Is there public transport available?

We advise that you plan your travel arrangements beforehand, allowing a minimum of 2 hours travel time to and from the venue.

• BY RAIL : No rail service between Belfast and Lisburn. Rail special trains operating from Lisburn and Lanyon Place Train Stations.

Bus substitution services will be in operation from Lisburn (Portadown line) and Lanyon Place (all other lines) Train Stations to Belfast to connect with Metro and Ulsterbus services. It is essential to pre-book to ensure travel on buses.

Bus transfers will operate after the event from Kennedy Way until 11:30pm (near WestWoods Shopping Centre on the far side of Stockman’s Lane).

• BY BUS: Metro and Ulsterbus services operating as normal along Lisburn Road to Kings Hall/Balmoral. Metro 9B services will be operating additional services.

• BY COACH: Goldliner Coach Specials will operate between Derry~Londonderry and Boucher Road. Bookings can be made here
