Lea Heart announces Belfast show & drops new single 'Don't Tell Me'
Lea Heart’s star continues to soar in 2023, having just sold out her headline show at Dublin’s 3Olympia in April, she's announced an upcoming Belfast show on Friday 22nd September at the Oh Yeah Music Centre.
‘Don’t Tell Me’ is the follow up single to ‘Happier’, both tracks representing Leas new direction of writing about her own life experiences and ‘Don’t Tell Me’ is a very personal and honest song.
Describing the song and her the inspiration..."the song is about the feelings of a young girl surrounded by a lot of big personalities and strong opinions about who they think she should be from her image to what she should be saying. The opinions coming from all angles of life, from those closest to you to social media, everyone thinking they have a say!"
"The song is a fight back and ‘winning back one’s own self-worth, self-respect but most importantly finding your own voice and inner strength to be heard’.
Lea wrote the anthemic song to inspire fans to ‘just be you, be who you want, wear whatever you want, think what you want, stand up for what you believe in and make your own decisions, as long as you’re being you & true to yourself’. A rule Lea now lives by.
Lea who started out in her bedroom two years ago, dreaming of performing on big stages and people hearing her music, now has amassed over 11Million Global streams and has had an amazing run in the last year of gracing some of the country’s biggest stages, from a packed out tent at Electric Picnic 2022, opening for both Sigrid and Lewis Capaldi at their headline 3Arena Shows.
