Bambie Thug announces Belfast show on 'Crown the Witch' tour
Tickets on sale Tuesday 👇
Cork-born alt disruptor Bambie Thug (they/them/fae) is smashing through gender and socio-political stereotypes to create an era-defining sound that borders on elements of pop, rock, electronic and more.
Self-coining the term ‘Ouija-pop’ to describe their sound, Bambie Thug has made serious waves in the last couple years with a series of genre-defying singles and a critically acclaimed EP ‘CATHEXIS’.
Bambie represented Ireland at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with their spellbinding entry ‘Doomsday Blue’, finishing at 6th place – the highest placement for an Irish act in 24 years.
The track is about the feeling of having your potential overlooked and an ode to the queer community. Sonically, the track transports listeners from alt-witchy verses to killer screams, pop choruses, a jazzy middle-eight, before culminating in a metallic roar of electronic and heavy guitars.
No stranger to the big stage, Bambie has torn up festival stages across the world including Download Festival, The Great Escape and Trans Musicales to much critical acclaim.
And it's just been announced that Bambi Thug will headline Limelight 2 on Monday 28th October 2024.
