There's a 5k 'jog with your dog' race happening in Castle Ward next month

If you love dogs, the great outdoors and exercise this is something you won't want to miss.
Organisers of Waggy Races have announced that the popular canine event will return to the famous Game of Thrones filming location Castle Ward this year.
The stunning 18th-century National Trust property on the shores of Strangford Lough will host Waggy Races - Castle Ward 5k on Sunday 6th October.
The sport of running with dogs is called canicross and is growing in popularity across the globe.
You don't need to be a seasoned runner to take part, all you need is a dog, a lead and a collar or harness .
"Waggy Races is a cross country fun run for you to enter with your dog. It's the perfect day out with your furry friend and also a great opportunity to check out one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
It's all about getting involved, having fun and enjoying the great outdoors with your four-legged friend. We get the full range, from competitive athletes to complete beginners and walkers."
The course is 5km (3.1 miles) with marshals, signs and flags to guide runners. There will be water stops and distance markers at regular intervals.
Dog poop bins will be available frequently around the course and at the start and finish lines.
