As summer draws to a close The Merchant Hotel, is sipping into the autumn social season in style, with the much-anticipated return of its popular Festival of Prosecco.

Customers can enjoy an array of Prosecco-themed delights from speciality cocktails to prosecco themed events on The Merchant’s stunning Roof Garden, including picnics and tastings, creative paint and prosecco workshops, sparkling masterclasses, as well as prosecco pairings and promotions throughout the hotel.

Last year, The Merchant served over 5,000 glasses of Prosecco during the month-long celebration, and with this year’s programme bubbling over with new experiences, events and offers, fans of fizz are set to flock to Belfast’s most dazzling five-star hotel this September once again.

The Merchant’s Prosecco Picnics will take place on the first two Sundays in September, offering guests the chance to relax with panoramic views of the city from the rooftop, whilst indulging in a picnic hamper with a selection of delectable sandwiches, charcuterie for two (cured meats, cheese selection, olives, stuffed peppers, pickles, chutneys, crackers, sour dough bread), heritage tomato salad, strawberries and cream, raspberry frangipane tart and a glass of Prosecco Valdo Origine.

There will be not one, but two Battle of the Bubbles events (5th and 26th September) where guests will be joined by leading connoisseurs as they taste their way through a range of Prosecco, sparkling wine, and Champagne accompanied by a small plate of cicchetti and live music.

Guests can learn all there is to know about Prosecco at the Sparkling Masterclass hosted by Noel MacMahon, Fine Wines Director of Febvre wines on Thursday 12th September. Attendees will be guided through a tasting flight of Prosecco accompanied by a small plate of cicchetti.

Creativity and style are set to sparkle as Sinéad Dermott of The Art and Design Factory hosts a sold out Paint and Prosecco Workshop on Sunday 15th September. Meanwhile, the Festa del Prosecco promises to be an indulgent midweek dining experience, as for one night only, Berts Jazz Bar will bubble over with prosecco as guests enjoy a bespoke four course meal with carefully paired glasses of the finest Valdo Prosecco accompanied by live jazz entertainment.

There is something for every prosecco fan this September and tickets for all the Festival of Prosecco events are on sale now and selling fast, with tickets starting from £49.50.

For anyone visiting The Merchant throughout September there will be a wide range of Prosecco Promotions on offer including a luxury Valdo Prosecco flight and unique prosecco cocktails available in The Great Room, The Cloth Ear, Berts Jazz Bar and The Cocktail Bar.

Those wishing to stay a little longer can avail of the new Fall for The Merchant package offering a luxurious overnight stay from just £139 per person sharing, with the added sparkle of a complimentary bottle of Valdo prosecco on arrival; complimentary use of the roof top sauna, steam room and hot tub which boasts uninterrupted views of the city and breakfast in The Great Room Restaurant before a leisurely checkout at 12pm.
