Excitement is building for the opening of a new spookily entertaining walk-through theatre experience for families.

The Grimm Hotel is a new show from award-winning children’s theatre company, Cahoots NI and will feature magic, music, cutting edge technology and some of the most recognisable characters from fairytale folklore.

Cahoots NI is at the forefront of Northern Irish theatre and is the leading professional theatre company producing work for children.

The Grimm Hotel opens its doors on 12th October as part of Belfast International Arts Festival and takes inspiration from the much loved ‘Grimm’s Fairy Tales’ in a groundbreaking immersive theatre experience.

When the ‘hotel’ opens its doors, visitors will be greeted by a Grimm Hotel team member and guided to rooms of their choice through a series of spooky corridors. In each room, visitors will be entertained with a live performance featuring innovative theatre, live music, close-up magic and high-tech illusions.

The show will feature a stellar local lineup of talented cast, crew and creatives.

"We are so excited to welcome our guests to our latest show, The Grimm Hotel,” said Artistic Director of Cahoots NI, Paul Bosco Mc Eneaney. "Property agents Savills allowed us to take over this enormous space back in Spring 2021 and since then we have been busy building this massive set and developing stories and illusions that will be unlike anything seen before in Northern Ireland."

The Grimm Hotel has been specifically designed to be Covid-Safe and operational in the context of any potential extension to restrictions on performance numbers and social distancing.

Visitors to the hotel will enter the show in small groups, allowing for proper social distancing and timed to enter each element separately, reducing the likelihood of any large group gathering. Due to the smaller audience sizes, visitors are urged to buy their tickets in groups and to act quickly as some dates have already begun to fill up.

Tickets are now on sale online at belfastinternationalartsfestival.com, and by phone (028 9024 6609) or in person at the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre priced at £15 with discounted tickets available for bookings of three or more people.
