Pick up a pumpkin for Action Cancer

Author: Emma DicksonPublished 24th Oct 2024

There are pumpkins a plenty across SuperValu and Centra stores this season as the convenience retailers join forces with County Armagh supplier Gilfresh to sell the pick of the patch.

50p from each pumpkin sale going straight to local charity Action Cancer.

Highlighting the initiative are the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus (courtesy of Superheroes NI & Salem Sisters NI), with Action Cancer’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Lucy McCusker, Eloise McIlroy and her brother Adam.

The retail brands’ long-term charity partner Action Cancer will use funds raised to help keep its mobile detection unit the Big Bus on the road, bringing its free health checks, breast screening and skin cancer detection services to communities across Northern Ireland.
