"Our Place in Space" Heads to Belfast's Divis and Black Mountain
Ready for an out-of-this-world sculpture trail?
If you could look back at Earth from the vastness of the solar system, what would you feel?
Wouldn’t squabbles look stupid from Saturn? Wouldn’t violence seem senseless from Venus? Forget about ‘Us and Them’, from the perspective of Pluto, it’s just US!
Our Place in Space is an out-of-this-world sculpture trail
Centered around an epic scale model of the solar system designed by the artist Oliver Jeffers with scientist Professor Stephen Smartt and a creative team led by Nerve Centre, Our Place in Space is a three-dimensional sculpture trail, interactive AR app and exciting learning and events programme.
Discover the trail in Belfast at Divis and the Black Mountain
The sculpture trail will animate this spectacular landscape of blanket bog and boardwalks from 11 June to 10 July 2022. Expect out-of-this-world views over the city and on a clear day you may even see some parts of Scotland and England.
You do not need tickets to visit the trail but recommended you visit between 9am and 7pm when the tour's Trail Guardians are around for helpful advice and maps.
