14 EGG'cellent Easter events across Northern Ireland the whole family will love

House coming down with chocolate eggs and hot cross buns? Well why not grab your coat and head outdoors to explore this Easter season.

There are a number of fun-filled activities taking place across Northern Ireland during the Easter break, including crafts, egg hunts, and bunny trails.

We've put together this handy guide of fun places to visit and events running over Easter weekend nearby.

Easter at The Ark

Safe to say this Easter, it's impossible to be bored at the The Ark Farm in Newtownards.

Experience the joy of Spring as you meet our adorable newborn lambs and baby chicks. Take part in our interactive Dino Egg Trail and explore the enchanting Easter Garden, where you'll even have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny, who may have a special chocolate treat just for you!

For added excitement our walking dinosaurs will be making a special appearance, letting you get up close to these incredible creatures.

The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt returns to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens

From Saturday 12th April until Sunday 27th April, families can embark on a captivating adventure as they explore the gardens of the Hillsborough Castle, dandering through the daffodils and bounding through the bluebells to find the elusive Lindt GOLD BUNNY statues peeking out from the beautiful blooms.

Hop & Hunt at Emerald Park

Easter has officially cracked open at Emerald Park, with one of Ireland's largest Easter Egg Hunts. 'Hop & Hunt' is a guided tour with colourful Easter characters, where you can bounce your way through the Zoo and Junior Zone hunting eggs and collecting stamps en route to a delicious chocolate treat.

Entry to Hop & Hunt is included with all park entry tickets on April 16th – 20th.

Easter at Belfast Zoo

Visit the zoo on Easter Monday and Easter Tuesday, for an unforgettable family day out with fun activities, special guests and all your favourite animals.

Look out for our walkabout characters as they make surprise appearances around the zoo. Whether it's posing for a photo, giving them a high-five, or having a cuddle, it will add a little Easter magic to your day.
On the trail, little explorers can search for clues hidden around the zoo. They could win a prize if they solve the mystery.

Don't forget to visit the café for your chance to transform into your favourite animal with free face-painting there.

Easter Trail at The Jungle

This Easter sees the return of The Jungle's Family Fun Day, which is Funfair style, with a range of activities from Archery to Zorb Football, Llama Trekking to Pedal Boats & more!

Step into a realm where forest fairies and elves bring the woods to life! Follow the clues, solve puzzles, and meet brand new characters along the way, making this The Jungle's most immersive Easter Trail yet!

Before you go, why not check out their friendly farm animals on the Woodland Farm or watch their sing-along stage show - covering all the hits.

Their events run 19th, 20th, 21st & 22nd April and spaces are limited, so book online asap.

Easter Sunday at The Ivy

On Sunday 20th April enjoy a specially curated breakfast menu for both adults and kids and enjoy fun and photos with The Ivy Bunny. With delectable food and great company, Breakfast With Bunny will provide the perfect start to a fabulously fun, family day out this Easter.

Breakfast With Bunny available from 9am until 12:30pm on Sunday 20th April only. Tickets are priced at £30.95 each for adults and £18.95 each for kids. Limited number of tickets available – find out more online.

Easter at the Ulster American Folk Park

From Easter Sunday 20th to Tuesday 22nd April, there's so much to uncover at the Ulster American Folk Park this year. Discover Easter traditions from days gone by like cross-roads dancing. Leave a note at the Easter Tree, listen to live music in rural Ulster and America, and take part in traditional games including the classic egg and spoon race.

There'll also be food samples to try like barnbrack and hot-cross buns!

Easter Egg Forest & Gruffalo Walk at Colin Glen

Get ready for an adventure-filled day with Easter egg hunts, a Gruffalo storytelling walk, a bunny disco at Colin Glen. To entertain the older kids, Ireland's longest zipline, Black Bull Run or Skytrek would be an adrenaline experience.

Whitehead Steam Train

Why not hop on over to the picturesque seaside town of Whitehead, to visit their Railway Museum this Easter. See if you can help them find their special Easter guest – the Easter bunny.

On the historic 1907 platform at Whitehead Excursion Station you'll board the train for a short trip within their premises. Included in your ticket price is admission to our 5-gallery Museum where you can participate in the Easter Hunt and learn more about the 'Giants of Steam.'

Easter Egg Trail at Rowallene Garden

Explore the stunning grounds at Rowallene Garden this Easter, check out their Easter trail and discover nature-inspired activities the whole family can enjoy.

The trail takes place between 14 and 27 April from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 4pm. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From chocolate egg.

Ballyburren Enchanting Easter Adventure

There is so much to see and do this Easter at Ballyburren, just outside Ballynahinch. Look out for the Easter Bunny who will take you on a guided tour, over charming wooden bridges, and alongside serene ponds, offering breathtaking views at every turn. Discover intriguing clues along the way, each leading to hidden eggs nestled in clever spots.

Don't miss the Mad Hatter's Home, Easter-themed crafting and your chance to feed the Alpacas (if they're hungry), you can also tuck into a sweet treat or two at their quaint Coffee Trailer on the island.

The Enchanted Easter Egg Factory

Step into the magical world of The Enchanted Easter Egg Factory at Navan Centre & Fort this Easter! Discover the fantastical factory of Mrs. Grumpalot in our spellbinding stage show, followed by a fun-filled Easter trail and themed craft activity. From the stage show to the Easter Trail and crafts, this is an Easter experience like no other!

Easter Monday Extravaganza at Montalto Estate

Explore with an egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt featuring beautifully designed eggs created by local schools, as well as a host of outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy – from inflatables and train rides to the Kids Outdoor Adventure Playpark.

While the little ones play, treat yourself to a mouthwatering barbecue, with burgers sizzling fresh off the grill. You must pre-book tickets to Trails & Gardens online.

Easter Egg hunt at Mount Stewart

Explore the beautiful Co Down estate this Easter, why not visit the special themed trail between Monday 14 April to Saturday 26 April, from 10am to 5pm (last trails sold at 4pm).
