Live at Botanic Gardens kicks off festival season here in Northern Ireland, and excitement is building in the city for tonight’s launch.

The sun was shining yesterday as Downtown Radio headed down to the venue for set-up.

Simply Red are the first act to hit the stage in Belfast’s historical Botanic Gardens.

How to enter:

The ONLY entrances to the Botanic Gardens festival are…

Malone Road- Box Office for sales and ticket pick up located at this entrance.

Queens Library, Botanic Avenue (Wheelchair Accessible Entrance)

Where to park:

Organisers have asked for ticketholders to use public transport; Botanic Gardens is in the heart of the city so it’s easy accessed.

On-street parking with ‘pay and display’ is available nearby but pay close attention to NOT parking in a restricted parking/no parking area.

24-hour car parks are available across the city centre also.

Are there food/drink vendors available?

Catering facilities and bars are on site – proof of age may be required to purchase alcohol.

Cards and cash can be used at bars, but some concessions will be cash only. There are no ATM’s available inside the park. Once a patron has exited the venue, re-entry is not possible.
