Huge crowds turned out for Pride in Belfast today, with hundreds taking part in the colourful parade through the city.

This year, the parade began at 1pm and ran from Custom House Square and the Albert Clock down Royal Avenue and finished on Victoria Street. Crowds lined the streets to cheer, dance and show their support along the route.

The 2023 theme is ‘Stand By Your Trans’ in support of trans and non-binary people.

Co-organiser John O'Doherty commented: "This year we've welcomed fifty new groups to march in the parade, the highest number we've ever had with 250 registered groups. We've also allowed a 50% increase in the number of people participating in the parade.

"We are so excited to bring the largest ever Belfast Pride parade to our streets, particularly under this theme.
