Highlights from the 2021 Belfast City Marathon
Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey takes first place 🥇

Over 4000 participants took part in today's, Belfast City Marathon, running the challenging 26.2 mile route.
Cool FM's Breakfast team (Pete, Paulo & Rebecca) were there at the starting line bright and early this morning, getting the crowd pumped up before the race.
You could feel the excitement in the air at the Stormont Estate, the event was delayed due to the pandemic and eventually rescheduled.
Starting from the landmark Stormont Estate, and finishing at Belfast's Ormeau Park, Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey was first to cross the line, in a phenomenal 2 hours 20 mins.

Co Armagh runner Fionnuala Ross crossed the finish line in a time of 2:43:43 to take the women's title.
And victory went to Donegal's Karol Doherty in the wheelchair race!
