Trademarket Belfast to open this week in the city centre

What once was the site of the Movie House on the Dublin Road in Belfast, is currently under being transformed into a spacious outdoor retail and food market.

Trademarket Belfast is modern venue, built using shipping containers and is expected to open to the public later this month.

Opening this Friday (22nd July), it will host the best of local food and independent retail vendors, giving start-up vendors an opportunity to test their products and services.

From this weekend, folks can visit Wednesday - Sunday from 12-11pm. You don't have to book, they operate on a first come, first served policy.

There are a number of bars, serving a great selection of drinks and cocktails too,

Bethany Fruit Market

Bethany's is a family run, independent fruit & veg shop based in East Belfast - supplying the community with high quality, local produce. Now popping up at Trademarket customers can tuck into refill shoots, pre-made selections and of course, their amazing fresh juices!

Dim Sum Ting

A fresh approach to delicious asian food, Dim Sun Ting offers a foodie experience packed with flavour. Pulled beef ramen, Thai green veggie rolls and katsu curry chips are included on the menu.

American Madness

East Belfast's American Madness stock a selection of vintage clothing, records, and a curated selection of books and magazines. After tucking into something tasty, you can shop till your heart is content here.

Bodega Bagels

Bagel connoisseurs Bodega Bagels are bringing the taste of New York to Belfast at Trademarket. Freshly baked bagels + top notch fillings and the best schmear this side of NYC = the ultimate treat!

Brew & Yaki

Brew and Yaki will be serving up homemade Japanese sweet treats, and yes that includes boba tea and mochi ice cream. To celebrate joining the Trademarket team, Brew & Yaki have announced a new product on the menu - Jiggly Japanese Soufflé Pancakes 🥞 YES PLEASE!

KUBO

Bringing a taste of the Philippines to Belfast are KUBO, serving up Filipino BBQ and Filipino Street Food as well as their signature Kamayan Kits. There's plenty of Gluten free and vegan options available on their menus too!

Pipián

Pipián is a new concept to Belfast, brought to us by the talented team at Freight. They're perfecting their menu atm, but it looks like we can expect everything from California Burritos and Carne Asada to Mexican Rice Bowls - YES PLEASE!

Pi Guy

Now it wouldn't be the ultimate food spot in Belfast without pizza now would it. You might recognise the name, Pi Guy used to serve up a variety of yummy pizzas from Hill Street Hatch in the Cathedral Quarter. We're very excited to see them back in the city.

Moon Gelato

To satisfy your sweet tooth, Moon Gelato will be offering a selection of inventive Italian -style ice creams and desserts. Another familiar brand on the pop-up foodie scene, if you're bored of vanilla and looking to try something a little bit different, give these guys a try.

Outside In

If you're stopping by for a little bit of retail therapy, call in to the team at Outside In. This NI brand have a special 'wear one - share one concept', where for every item purchased they donate another to someone experiencing homelessness.

Rebel and Ruse

Three friends with a wealth of experience in hospitality have teamed up to create this funky new concept. With a focus on local produce the guys promise to deliver a delicious, modern BBQ experience filled with flavour!

Barkey and Waggins

Four-legged furry friends are also welcome at Trademarket. And to help them feel welcome, why not kit them out in the coolest gear from Barkey and Waggins dog boutique.

Pie Queen

Who doesn't love pie? Savoury and sweet, we'll take the lot! Shonee aka the Pie Queen will be serving up the tastiest individual pies, sure to pack a punch at lunch time!
And if you need a caffeine hit, local coffee company Napoleon will be there too.

Urban Market

If you love trinkets, candles, sweet treats and niknaks, then Urban Market is just for you. A treasure trove of local brands that help celebrate NI and our smaller businesses.

Hey Chick

For a burger that is going to blow your mind, Hey Chick is the one! We're talking fried chicken, junk fries and equally epic vegan alternatives! This place is LEGENDARY!
