Indian street food chain Mowgli to open in Belfast city centre
Mowgli Street Food is set to open this summer in Belfast’s Victoria Square this summer.
With over 20 restaurants dotted across the UK including London, Cardiff, Manchester and Leeds, this is an exciting new launch in Northern Ireland.
A statement on the Mowgli website explains that: “Mowgli is all about the type of food that Indians cook and eat at home; born to feed the raw need Indians have for dishes full of fresh, bright, intense flavour.”
Founder and CEO of Mowgli Street Food, Nisha Katona MBE has worked on projects with the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4.
Breaking the news on her social media, Katona writes: “Sure enough I’m so excited to announce Mowgli Belfast!! At last! I have such a heart for Northern Ireland.
“I spent many a happy summer with my friend Fizz on her farm in Coleraine and with her family in Hollywood. We would eat dulce on bike rides in the day and passeggiata Port Stewart in the evening.
“It’s an epic part of the world and I’m proud to take my chat bombs to the immense people of Belfast. We open Summer 25 in Victoria Square!”
Mowgli’s menu offers customers a range of mouthwatering meats, different curry options and street food favourites, as well as creative cocktails and delicious desserts.
