Last year, Timothee Bassett, aged 21 from Belfast won the chance to be the “Face of Skills NI” and was followed around the event by a professional film crew, while he interviewed exhibitors, visitors and VIPs. Timothee was a Broadcast Journalism HND student at Belfast Met and has now gone on to become a finalist in the Media Trust initiative “Breaking into the News” which sees him creating his own news piece for ITV News on the issues he is passionate about.
Talking about his time presenting at Skills Northern Ireland 2018, Timothee said: “Skills Northern Ireland gave me key experience to expand my media career. I am now moving on to new and exciting things and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
