Steven Knight gives exciting update about the future of House of Guinness

In March last year, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight announced his next project, House of Guinness, which fans had been eagerly anticipating. The first series dropped in September 2025 and has been hugely popular with Netflix users, with many calling for a second series.

Will there be a second series?

According to The Mirror, the show's creator, Steven Knight, has revealed he has plans to make a lot more future series!

Speaking during a Q&A at a House of Guinness screening, he said: "I think what we have got with this show is something that is spectacularly successful in the way that it's executed.

"But also it's like, it's a very human thing and these people who are doing this thing are making something that I believe is going to be something great.

"It's like Peaky, it's going to be huge, it's going to be great.

"Yes, of course. We are going to do season two, and three, and four. We are going to do this all the way to the 1960s."

However, at the moment, Netflix are yet to officially confirm a second series.

What is House of Guinness about?

House of Guinness follows the children of Arthur Guinness.

The synopsis reads: 'Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story will focus on the consequences of the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his cunning will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the growing juggernaut that is Guinness.'

When did it start?

All eight episodes of House of Guinness landed at 8am on Thursday 25th September 2025.

A social media post read: 'the head of the Guinness brewery is dead. now his children must navigate power, rebellion and scandal…or risk losing it all 🍺 from the creator of Peaky Blinders, House Of Guinness arrives on Netflix 25 September'. (sic)

Is there a trailer?

Yes. The trailer was released on Monday 1st September, alongside the caption: 'Trouble is brewing in the House of Guinness. Who will keep their head?

'A new series from the creator of Peaky Blinders, arriving on Netflix 25th September'. (sic)

Bosses released some first look images in August. Sharing the photos on social media, the post read: 'your first look at Steven Knight’s House Of Guinness, following the rebellion, power and scandal of the Guinness brewery in 19th century Dublin 🍺 coming to Netflix 25 September'.

Who is in House of Guinness?

Netflix revealed details of the cast on Friday 26th July 2024, and it's a stellar line-up!

James Norton (Happy Valley), Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air), Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones) and Fionn O’Shea (Normal People) will all appear, as well as Hilda Fay, Emily Fairn and Seamus O'Hara.
