Game of Thrones' Kit Harington reveals he hated filming the dragon scenes

He played Jon Snow on the show

Game of Thrones came to a rather controversial end earlier this year with its eighth and final season, with many fans of the series being unhappy with how the writers chose to play out the last few episodes. Whilst stars of the show kept their mouths shut ahead of it airing, many have now come out with what they really thought.

One of whom is Kit Harington, who starred as one of the main roles, Jon Snow. Although Jon was brought up as Ned Stark's illegitimate son, he was later discovered to be Aegon Targaryen, the son of Ned's sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen - making him the true heir to the Iron Throne.

This meant that he was afforded the natural talent of being able to ride a dragon - something only Targaryen-borns could do. But it turns out that actor Kit, who has gone on to voice another dragon-related film in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, HATED filming the dragon scenes.

He told the Hollywood Reporter that he'd previously spoken to his co-star Emilia Clarke AKA Daenerys Targaryen about filming them, "Emilia had been moaning about it for seasons, and I was like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. You have not been through the mud in Northern Ireland. A buck in a nice warm room? Boo hoo'."

However, when it came to filming the scenes himself, Kit realised she'd been right all along, "But she was absolutely right. It was horrific. It's not acting at all. It is not acting, it never will be acting, and it is not what I'd signed up for.

"But it looked great, right? It just felt horrible! It is very uncomfortable as a man. Not recommended, no. I don't think I can have children now."
