It's been a massive 30 years since ChuckleVision first aired on TV, but now it has been revealed that the comedy pair will be returning for a new series.

Barry and Paul will have their own Saturday night show called Chuckle Time which will air on Channel 5. The brothers, who are now in their 70s, will introduce funny internet clips and perform classic sketches on the new show, which is expected to be a hit with fans of the entertainers.

Barry and Paul Chuckle (real names Barry and Paul Elliott), rose to fame on ChuckleVision in the late 80s. Chucklevision was a popular kids TV show which started in 1987 and continued right up until 2009. Since the programme ended the brothers made a few TV appearances, either as themselves or playing characters, such as Barry who appeared in Still Open All Hours as dog owner Mr Marshall in 2013.

Last month the Chuckle Brothers made a cameo in Benidorm as a drag act, The Great Crostini & Co.

Since the news of the return of the Chuckle Brothers to prime time TV, fans have been taking to social media to express how excited they are.

One fan described them as 'comedy legends'.

Another fan wanted to know when it was going to start, with Paul replying, 'Early June .. poss first Saturday 🤔'.

Whilst another suggested crowdfunding four new episodes of Chucklevision so it becomes Britain's longest series.

Now take a look at some of our favourite TV shows which originally had very different names:

Friends

We all know and love it as Friends, but the TV show could have been called something very different...
