The Celebrity Traitors fans in a FRENZY over show's biggest cliffhanger yet

If we thought The Celebrity Traitors couldn't possibly be any better than the original, we were dead wrong. Many fans of the original show were convinced that knowing the contestants before they went into that Scottish castle would detract from the fun of it - but it's added a new dimension.

🚨 In case it's not obvious, there are plenty of spoilers ahead! 🚨

With this set of Faithfuls being possibly the least successful yet, the original 19 contestants have been whittled down to nine - with three Traitors among them. Five Faithfuls have been banished and five have been murdered... With another one to join them based on last night's ending (Thursday 23rd Oct).

Of course, we know that producers of the show love nothing MORE than to leave us on tenterhooks in suspense, with an agonising six days to wait until the next episode, but last night's was a real doozy.

After we saw the results of Wednesday night's (22nd Oct) banishment, leaving it up to chance between actor Mark Bonnar and historian David Olusoga, Mark's time was unfortunately up in the castle. At the end of the episode, we saw Sir Stephen Fry follow suit - but it was the murder that has really got minds racing.

Fans of the show will know that the Traitors meet in the Turret every night to discuss and plot the murder, before delivering the letter to whichever member of the Faithfuls has met their doom - but this time, the murder was being carried out in plain sight.

Nick Mohammed, Kate Garraway and Lucy Beaumont all received a letter, inviting them down to the chess board where the task had taken place that day. They were instructed that if they turned around and saw Claudia, they were still "alive" - but one would come face to face with the Traitors themselves, and be "killed" there and then.

Obviously, viewers can't stop thinking or talking about the cliffhanger, taking to social media and group chats in their droves to decipher which Faithful may have left the show after such a twist.

One person wrote: 'Knew that was gonna happen given the time! Now gotta wait a week to see if I was right. Nick or other lady .. Kate will be staying,' while another added: 'The real betrayal is making us wait another bloody week for the next episode!!' and one more commented: 'Another cliff edge episode, I can't take this anymore.'
