Arctic Monkeys have been named as the second headliners of Reading & Leeds Festivals this summer.

Joining the previously announced bill-toppers Blink-182, Arctic Monkeys’ slot will be an England and Wales festival exclusive.

Fresh from storming to number one with their fourth album ‘Cavalier Youth’, You Me At Six are also heading to Bramham Park and Little John’s Farm.

Completing the fresh wave of additions are The Courteeners, The 1975, SBTRKT, Warpaint, Netsky, Annie Mac, Royal Blood, Hozier, Architects, Issues, Pusha T and Krept & Konan.

The 1975 said: “We grew up going to Reading & Leeds Festival. It's so humbling knowing we are going to play such a prestigious slot there this year. Cannot wait!"

Sam Carter from Architects enthused: "We’re delighted to be playing Reading & Leeds again this year! Reading festival was a huge part of our musical upbringing and it was the first festival that any of us attended.

“It’s an honour to be part of such a huge and prestigious festival - August can’t come soon enough!"

Already confirmed are Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Metronomy, Of Mice & Men, Wilkinson and I Am Legend.

Reading & Leeds take place from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August 2014. Tickets are on sale right now.
