The Adventure Of A Lifetime video is an epic win
Coldplay have been transformed into chimpanzees for the truly incredible video for their new single ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’.
Directed by Mat Whitecross, the groundbreaking video came about when Chris Martin bumped into the king of motion capture himself Andy Serkis (aka The Lord of The Rings’ Golum, King Kong and The Jungle Book’s Baloo) on a flight.
The pair immediately hit it off and hatched a plan to create a motion capture video - six months in the making, this is the glorious end result:

To create the video, Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion performed the song in full motion capture rigs.
Cutting edge animators Mathematic then collaborated with motion capture experts Imaginarium to transform the four musicians into 3D chimpanzees.
As well as singing the song, the chimps bust some seriously amazing dance moves and draft in a load of their monkey mates for the party!
