With the top walks in the UK revealed recently, including on featured in a well-known Harry Potter scene, we thought we'd take a look at which songs are the UK's favourite to walk to. So if you're planning a bit of hiking over the Easter break, then here are the Top 10 most popular hiking tracks thanks to Sealskinz.

So why not pop on Cool FM? You're bound to hear quite a few of these great walking songs, from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Harry Styles.

The songs included in this Top 10 are a mixture of upbeat pop songs and sing-along power ballads, which offer the perfect motivation on long hikes. Take a look!

10. Justin Bieber - 'Sorry'

Justin Bieber's catchy song 'Sorry' starts off this Top 10 list. The song was big for Justin in 2015 when it was a Number 1 hit here in the UK.

9. Harry Styles - 'Watermelon Sugar'

Harry Styles' sun-soaked 'Watermelon Sugar', although slower than some of the tracks on this list has a steady strong beat to walk to. 'Watermelon Sugar' was a big hit from Harry back in 2020. The song was written by Harry with three other songwriters.

8. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper- 'Shallow'

'Shallow' was featured on the soundtrack of the film starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, A Star Is Born. Although a slow song to walk to, it's understood that lyrics can also impact your mood, which might be the reason for this high-ranking song.

7. Dua Lipa - 'Don’t Start Now'

Released in late 2019, 'Don't Start Now' was a Number 2 hit in the UK for Dua Lipa. The song featured on her 'Future Nostalgia' album released in 2020.

6. Billie Eilish - 'Bad Guy'

Billie Eilish's 2019 hit 'Bad Guy' is at Number 6 in this Top 10 and it's probably down to it's catchy beat which is perfect to walk to, or perhaps dance? 'Bad Guy' won Grammys for Song of the Year and Record of the Year in 2020.

5. Imagine Dragons - 'Believer'

American rock band Imagine Dragons released 'Believer' in 2017. The song wasn't particularly popular in the UK chart, however, it seems that it is popular with the walkers amongst us.

4. Lewis Capaldi - 'Someone You Loved'

It was the Song of the Year at the 2020 BRIT Awards, but 'Someone You Loved' is still popular now with Lewis Capaldi's fans who like to walk.

3. Tones and I - 'Dance Monkey'

It was a hit for Tones and I back in 2019, but 'Dance Monkey' is still popular today with hikers reaching Number 3 in this countdown.

2. The Weeknd - 'Blinding Lights'

'Blinding Lights' was an iconic song for The Weeknd, which will always be associated with the early days of lockdown and the TikTok dance challenge. However, it appears that it's upbeat tempo is also enough to encourage people on a hike too.

1. Ed Sheeran - 'Shape of You'

Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' tops this countdown having had billions of streams online and with a fairly high BPM of 96, the song is perfect for a mid-tempo hike.
