Singer/songwriter Tom Grennan joined Cool Drive's John Kearns to chat about his brand-new track ‘By Your Side’ with superstar DJ Calvin Harris.

This is Calvin's first collaboration since dropping ‘Over Now’ with The Weeknd in August 2020, so no big deal! 🤯

After teasing their new single on social with a viral insta story, we've been obsessed with this comedy duo.

Tom first found fame as a guest singer on Chase & Status’ track 'All Goes Wrong'. After working with Chase & Status he went on to release his own music, releasing his debut album 'Lighting Matches' in 2018.

In just three years, he's found himself collaborating and producing with some of the world's best!

"It's a mad experience. He (Calvin) messaged me on Instagram, and I read it and couldn't believe it. We got on FaceTime and he explained what he wanted to do with this song, he wanted to make a summer banger."

"Everybody has been locked indoors, the Euros is happening, it needed to be a positive, positive vibe, and Calvin's a genius, he is the don at what he does!"

Tom Grennan performed an acoustic session exclusively with Cool FM a few years back. Since then his latest album 'Evering Road' has dropped, and he can't wait to perform it live on stage soon.

"I feel like everybody will know the songs, Evering Road is a story I needed to tell, it's just a positive record and that's what people need."

"The Irish crowds are always wicked, they always go off, I just love it. The support over there is amazing. I can't wait to play at the Ulster Hall and get that vibe again."

Tickets are on sale now for Tom's next Belfast gig at the iconic Ulster Hall on 29th March 2022 via ticketmaster.ie
