Midas-touched producer and rapper Timbaland has announced he’s working on previously unheard music by Michael Jackson.

In a 39-second video on YouTube, Timbaland – real name Timothy Mosley – revealed that EPIC Records supremo L.A. Reid contacted him about the project.

Describing the posthumous pairing as “two kings working together”, Timbaland says the resulting material will be “my music with his (Michael Jackson’s) voice on it.”

Although details are still sketchy about the music, the producer has said that the first single goes by the title of ‘Chicago’.

In a career that has spanned over two decades, Timbaland has worked his magic with a galaxy of stars including Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Aaliyah, Drake, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Bjork and Madonna.

Earlier this summer, Timbaland was highly critical when Chris Brown and Drake reworked music by his late protégé Aaliyah saying: “It ain't gonna work. Aaliyah music only work with its soulmate, which is me."
