Sam Smith Teases New Album on Twitter

But when will it be released?!

Published 2nd Dec 2014

Sam Smith has revealed he is overflowing with ideas for his second studio album.

A huge global success, Sam’s debut album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ is an intensely personal opus dealing with such melancholy themes as heartache (‘Stay With Me’), the pressures of penning a record label deal (‘Money On My Mind’) and loneliness (‘Lay Me Down’).

Despite now being in a much happier place, Sam told his one million twitter followers that album no.2 could be even more personal than his breakthrough record.

He wrote: “Already have so many ideas flowing through my mind for album 2. Brace yourselves... When you think it couldn't get more honest...”

However, when excited fans pressed Sam about when it will be released, he added: “It’s a long long way till then though.”

Since its release back in May, ‘In The Lonely Hour’ has sold 600,000 copies in the UK and 800k Stateside.

Thanks to its success, Sam has won multiple MOBO Awards, the Best New Artist gong at the Q Awards and the Favourite Male Artist honour at the American Music Awards.
