One Direction have met their amazing Madame Tussauds waxwork figures in London!

Coming face-to-face with their startling likenesses, Zayn commented: "They look wicked, they're bang on!" with Louis adding that he "can't wait for fans to see them."

Shocked at seeing his lifelike double, Niall enthused: "It's really good, isn't it?! This is weird - he's wearing my actual shoes!"

Liam said "This is definitely a privilege, getting a wax figure" and Harry agreed "It's amazing and such an honour".

The One Direction wax figures are on display at Madame Tussauds in London for just 12 limited weeks from today (18th April) until 11th July. The figures will then head on tour to Madame Tussauds museums in New York and Sydney.

Harry, Zayn, Louis, Liam and Niall all took part in two sittings where the Madame Tussauds team took hundreds of measurements and matched their skin tone, eye colour and hair swathes up.

A team of 40 people including sculptors, moulders, hair stylists, colourists and wardrobe experts worked flat out for four months on the wax figures at a cost of £150,000 each! The boys themselves donated the clothes.
