One Direction Sing 'What Makes U Useful' On Sesame Street – WATCH
They recorded the song in New York last December
One Direction have performed a very special version of their breakthrough smash hit ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ for Sesame Street.
The renamed ‘What Makes U Useful’ sees Harry, Liam, Zayn, Louis and Niall replace the original lyrics with lines like: “This letter’s U, you know it’s true / It starts some words, there are more than a few… 26 letters are in the alphabet but we’re here to sing about U.”
Sesame Street posted a 30 second snippet of the song on their YouTube channel last night ahead of the show airing later this year. Check it out here:
One Direction visited Sesame Street to record the song last December where they got to meet one of their biggest idols – Big Bird.
Over Sesame Street’s 44-year history, stars including Michael Jackson, Usher, Backstreet Boys, Destiny’s Child, Bruno Mars and James Blunt have all been guest singers on the show.
