Newly released figures have revealed that One Direction made £1million EACH just for signing up to their 2014 Where We Are Tour.

Although Zayn, Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall were yet to set foot onto the stage and a solitary ticket was yet to be sold for the gargantuan stadium tour, the boys received a huge advance to lock them into performing.

Accounts for their company ODOT – which stands for One Direction On Tour – show they received a whopping £6.1million last year.

The tour kicked off in Bogota, Columbia on 25th April and after taking in a further 67 shows in three continents wrapped up in Miami on 5th October.

A financial expert told the Daily Mirror: “They receive advances to ensure they will commit to the tour and secure their services for a certain period.

“There’s a huge amount of outlay in arranging a tour and the organisers will want to be sure that the star attractions are going to be there.”

One of the richest pop acts on the planet, it’s estimated that One Direction raked in a whopping £50million in 2014.

Although Zayn Malik quite One Direction partway through their On the Road Again Tour, he will still be making money from the shows as one of the directors of ODOT.
