Miley Cyrus Smokes 'Cannabis Joint' At MTV EMAs
The singer fuels yet more controversy
Miley Cyrus has kept up her now trademark headline-grabbing antics by appearing to smoke a joint at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam last night (10th November).
Accepting her Best Video award for ‘Wrecking Ball’ at the Ziggo Dome ceremony, Miley reached into her Chanel bag telling the crowd: “Y’know I couldn’t fit this award in my bag but I did find this…”
She then proceeded to light up and smoke a rolled up cigarette in front of the millions watching across the globe.
It’s unclear whether the joint contained marijuana, but if it did Miley is unlikely to land in trouble. The drug is illegal in the Netherlands but users will not be prosecuted for possessing a small amount.
The fresh controversy comes just three months after Miley notoriously twerked with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
She then hit the headlines once again when she stripped completely for her ‘Wrecking Ball’ video and had an online feud with Sinead O’Connor.
Eminem, One Direction, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Linkin Park, Bruno Mars, Avicii, Green Day, Justin Bieber and Avicii were among the big winners on the night.
