Madonna explains Disclosure’s absence from new album ‘Rebel Heart’

Her schedule was just too busy!

Madonna has explained why serial hit-makers Disclosure do not appear on her new album ‘Rebel Heart’.

The 56-year-old had suggested that she would collaborate with the Dance duo last year, however due to busy schedules it didn’t materialise.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, she said: “I love their stuff, and I wanted to work with them. And I met with them to work with them, and I played them some of my music.

“When I met them it was at Governor’s Ball, and they had such a busy schedule. I was in Europe, they weren’t there. When they were in New York, I wasn’t here. So we couldn’t hook up.”

Madonna’s new album boasts features such as Avicii, Diplo and man-of-the-moment Kanye West, and the ‘Living For Love‘ singer has admitted she simply couldn’t fit Disclosure into the busy recording process.

She added: “I had so many other moving parts. I couldn’t add one more problem to the equation. One more person that I was chasing.”

Following her BRITs performance, and that fall, the singer announced details of a world tour to support her new album, stopping off at UK locations such as Manchester, Birmingham, London and Glasgow.

Madonna’s latest album ‘Rebel Heart’ is available to purchase from 9th March 2015.
