It’s hard to imagine a time without Luke Combs being at the forefront of the country music scene as well as being synonymous to the genres growing success.
The American country music singer and songwriter, born and raised in North Carolina, shot to fame with his powerful vocals, charisma and lyrical talent.
Combs has worked to create a modern take on the country genre while allowing his music to maintain the heart and soul of country music.
His passion for music surpassed his interest in studying criminal justice at Appalachian State University, where he dropped out just shy of 5 years to pursue his musical career.
Having played his first country music show at the Parthenon Café in Boone, North Caroline, U.S., Combs later moved to Nashville to pursue his dreams of country music.
His music has earned him three Grammy Award nominations, two iHeart Radio music awards, four Academy of Country Music Awards and six Country Music Association Awards, including the 2021 and 2022 Entertainer of the Year award.

This song is Combs' declaration of his unconditional love for his wife. Co-written by Ray Fulcher and Reid Isbell as part of his latest album "Gettin' Old".
A heartfelt rendition of the song was performed at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards, with the artist pausing his 2023 tour to attend.
Six Feet Apart
First released on May 1, 2020, 'Six Feet Apart' is a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic and was later added to the digital version of his second studio album "What You See Is What You Get", co-written with Brent Cobb and Robb Snyder.
Despite never being an official radio single, it still climbed inside the Top 40 of unsolicited air play in 2020. This hopeful song embodies the heart and soul of country music with its passionate lyrics and conversation about family and returning to life after the global pandemic.

Straight from his 2019 album "What You See Is What You Get" co-written by Brooks & Dunn as well as featuring in the song's harmonies.
This song is the perfect combo of country and rock, with Combs explaining his hopes for the song as a fun, fiery free-spiritedness that typified '90s country.
Jameson Rodgers featuring Luke Combs - Cold Beer Calling My Name
Combs and Jameson Rodgers shot to No.1 with this hit, the pair teamed up to create an ode to blue collar workers.
The song tells the simple story of after a hard-working day, relaxing and having a cold beer- fortifying Combs and Rodgers entry to every country artist having a song about having a cold one just like Tom Halls "I Like Beer", Thomas Rhett's "Beer with Jesus" and Hank Williams "There's A Tear in My Beer" just to mention a few.

Inspired by Tracy Chapmans song "Fast Car" that recently catapulted Combs past the bounds of the country genre. The songs similarities are most notable through the tracks opening guitar riff, with Combs inspiration from Chapmans iconic yet simplistic riff.
The song is the third thing off his 2022 "Growin' Up" album, dealing with themes of heartbreak from a mature perspective.
Doin’ This
Luke Combs debuted the song at the 55th Annual Country Music Awards in November 2021. The song was written about a frequent interview question, "What would you do if you weren't doing this?"

Straight from the 2020 album "What You See Is What You Get", the song features fellow North Carolinian Eric Church having a memorable third verse and chorus.

When It Rains It Pours
The second single from his 2017 debut album "This One's for You", the song tells the story about a man gaining luck after his girlfriend left him.
Reaching number one on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts respectively, awarding Combs his second number-one country hit overall.
The song was certified 9× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and has sold 9,000,000 units as of August 2023.
Beer Never Broke My Heart
This track was first performed acoustically in concert in January 2018 then officially released as part of the "What You See Is What You Get" album.
The track peaked at number one on the Billboards Country Airplay chart becoming Combs' sixth consecutive number one on the charts.
Combs sings of every circumstance that can hurt a person but ultimately having a cold one is the only thing that a person can depend on in making them happy.
Hurricane
Rolling Stone described the song's arrangement as "an accidental combination of new school and Nineties-era country that freely mixes electronic beats". It still holds as one of Combs' breakthrough hits that helped establish the artist as a prominent figure in the country music scene.
Known for its catchy melody, relatable lyrics and Combs' distinctively smooth voice, "Hurricane" holds as an original template song for Combs, allowing listeners to now listen and see his artistic development through his use of integrating musical genres.
She Got the Best of Me
Combs wrote this power ballad four years before recording the hit in a bar at Nashville, Tennessee called the Tin Roof. Due to its popular demand the song was added to his debut album "This One's for You" as a bonus track.
The song catapulted to the Billboard Country Airplay in October of 2018, becoming Combs' fourth consecutive number one single.
Lovin’ on You
This honky-tonkin' hit gives us listeners all the soul and warmth of country music. The fun-loving song has too catchy a melody to not find yourself singing along or at least swaying.
When it reached No. 1 on radio airplay charts in 2020, it became his ninth of nine of Combs' singles to do so. The lyrics tell the story of Combs' undying love and simply the feeling from it is better than any of his favourite things.
Fast Car
'Fast Car' was big when it first came out in 1988 and earned Tracy Chapman one of three Grammys that year.
But it's just as big now. Combs' version hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in July and landed the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Hot 100. Combs frequently covered Chapman's "Fast Car" during live concerts, but only released his cover as part of his March album 'Gettin' Old.'
Better Together
The fifth single from his 2020 album "What You See Is What You Get" is co-written by Dan Isbell and Randy Montana. Combs performed the song on October 15, 2020 on the telecast of the Billboard Music Awards accompanied solely by a piano player.
"Better Together" is a love song that celebrates the idea that some things in life are just meant to be together, much like the perfect pairings that make life beautiful.
Even Though I’m Leaving
This heart felt song tells the emotional story of a father comforting his child when they're scared, emphasising the idea that even though he may not always be physically present, his love and support will always be there.
The song was certified 3× Platinum by the RIAA on August 25, 2023. It has sold 226,000 copies in the United States as of March 2020.
Forever After All
This love song is a continuation of "Beautiful Crazy" and "Better Together", which were both dedicated to Combs' wife whom he married in August 2020.
"Forever After All" reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart dated June 5, 2021, making Combs the second artist to score six number one singles from a single album, and tying Luke Bryan for the most from an album.

This mega hit landed as a bonus track to Combs' 2017 debut album "This One's For You". The song had gained viral attention prior to its release as a single, with Combs' making it a regular performance in his concerts.
The song was penned by Luke Combs himself, together with Wyatt Durrette and Robert Williford.
