Leigh-Anne Pinnock is the first current Little Mix member to release solo music, having already delighted fans with the release of 'Don't Say Love' and 'My Love' last year. Now, the singer has her EP 'No Hard Feelings', which is separate to her debut solo album, and features her songs 'Stealin' Love' and 'Forbidden Fruit'.
On the day Leigh-Anne started teasing 'Stealin' Love', she also started to use the #NHF hashtag, which had many fans wondering what it could mean.
What is 'No Hard Feelings'?
On 19th March, Leigh-Anne first shared some details of her new EP saying: 'I’ve been writing & recording so much working on my album but while making it, I’ve made a collection of songs that fit together in their own world. The first song is coming next week and then I’ll be sharing more new music in the following weeks. Sh*t’s about to get very real... 💚🍀 #NHF'.
Leigh-Anne then shared further details in an email to her fans saying: 'Over the last year or so I've been crafting & creating the vision of the artist that I want to be. I can honestly say, that vision has never been clearer to me than it is right now. And while my album isn't quite finished yet (trust me, it's coming) there's a collection of songs I'm so incredibly proud of that I just want to put out as soon as possible, including 'Stealin Love' which you've probably heard a snippet of already.
'These songs, while not part of my album, have helped inform my direction as a artist, a songwriter and a musician. They represent me to the fullest and something in me said they needed to be heard in this way. I want you guys to be the first to know that I'm going to be sharing new music every few weeks, with a full project coming in the summer. I've spoken a lot about this journey and I strongly feel that these next few songs are so imperative to my journey, and I can't wait for you to hear (and SEE) it all really soon.'
On the 27th March, the singer released a trailer for 'No Hard Feelings' on YouTube. In the video, Leigh-Anne can be heard saying: "Love is at the centre of everything I do. I'm letting go and focussing purely on the love. I wanted this project to redefine perception, to bring together everything I love, music, singing, dancing, my roots, my identity. I'm stronger than I give myself credit for, I'm a sensitive soul, but thanks to my friends and family I can also be a force of nature. This is my story, and nobody else can tell it. No Hard Feelings."
Next she released 'Forbidden Fruit'. On the day of the song's release, Leigh-Anne also shared a music video calling it 'Chapter II' of her EP. She told her fans in an email: 'I've said before that No Hard Feelings is about telling my story and this, I think, is the most honest I've been so far. I hope you can take it in and enjoy what we've created.
'You can also watch the second chapter of the No Hard Feelings story. A huge thank you to my brilliant Space to Create family for their incredible choreography work.'
