Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has been unveiled as the fourth and final judge for the 2014 series of The Voice.

The 35-year-old Yorkshire man joins Tom Jones, will.i.am and fellow new judge Kylie Minogue on the panel for the BBC talent show.

Ricky says: “Who doesn't want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue? I spent last winter yelling at The Voice, and both Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am were total superstars.

“I'm just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!"

Mark Linsey, Controller of the BBC’s Entertainment Commissioning, says: “Ricky is one of the UK music scene’s great frontmen. He knows all about performance and will complement the rest of the coaching line-up perfectly.”

Since breaking through in 2004, Kaiser Chiefs have scored four top 10 albums (selling over 3million copies in the process), topped the charts with their single ‘Ruby’, won five BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award and performed at the Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.

Widely regarded as one of the most energetic lead vocalists in music, Ricky’s live performances involve crowd surfing, climbing safety barriers and scaffolding and plenty of jumping.

The Voice contestants will certainly learn a thing or two from him! The show airs in January 2014.
