“Love wins.” That is the message from the voice behind the 2014 British single of the year 'Waiting all night,’ Ella Eyre.

The London based singer songwriter has teamed up with English DJ Sigala, aka Bruce Fielder, for the ultimate summer anthem ‘Came here for love.’

Chatting to Curtis on Friday, the duo described the single as an "up-tempo, fun, summer track,” that has earned over one million Spotify streams within the first week of its release.

Ella said: “The reaction so far has been overwhelming, really cool, in general it’s been amazing.

“It’s about love, it’s about positivity and I think given the state that the world’s in right now it’s a great song to remind everybody to be positive and upbeat and to love, love wins.”

The collaboration offers power vocals from the ‘Gravity’ singer, complimented by Bruce Fielder’s production expertise, resulting in a feel-good, sunshine, Ibiza-esque theme.

Described by the duo in emoji terms as a smiley face, a taco (because it makes you want to eat tacos, naturally) and the flamenco dancer. With the video set in Mexico, Ella says it’s got a south American, Hispanic vibe.

In addition to a host of hits, a new Sigala album is also on the cards for 2018. He said it is the next step in his production journey.

“I’ve got so many songs that I feel like are never going to get heard unless I put them on an album, so I’m really looking forward to that,” he said.

Ella however, was keeping tight lipped on dates: “I want to release as much music as possible, I have so much to share. An album will come but I’m just focusing on getting back into the swing of things."

‘Came here for love,’ is available now.
